Jo and Roger’s Wedding

Here are some pictures from Jo and Roger’s wedding I shot a few weeks ago, and what an amazing day it was!  I started out at Summerleaze in St Stephen where Jo was getting ready along with the bridesmaids and flower girls.  Jo was showing no sign of nerves, in fact she was so relaxed that she was sat down eating a bacon sandwich at 12.25, only 20 minutes before the car was due to arrive and she still didn’t have her dress on!  When she did eventually finish getting ready (just in time!), she looked absolutely beautiful, the dress was genuinely one of the most elegant I’ve ever seen.   After a quick drive through some Cornish country lanes, I got to Sticker managed to park the car, then I had to run up the steep hill to the lovely St Mark Mission Church to make sure I was there before Jo and her Dad, I was very out of breath, it made me realize that I need to stop eating so many crisps and play more tennis!  I just had enough time to take a couple of quick shots of Roger waiting in the church, who was also very relaxed, before Jo arrived, and then there was a very nice ceremony conducted by the vicar Marion Barnett, who was very accommodating and made my job a lot easier, so thank you Marion.   After the ceremony we only had to go around the corner for the reception to Jo’s parent’s very secluded camp site, Pleasant Streams Farm (which is available to hire for weddings) where they had a huge marquee (Coast2Coast Marquees) next to a beautiful lake.  The whole place looked wonderful, all the flowers, decorations and the cake where done by Jo’s sister Kristy (Kristy Lou’s Flowers – 01726 76811), she must have been rushed off her feet in the run up to the big day, great job Kristy!  Jo and Roger did a few laps riding around the lake on the vintage tandem bike they had borrowed for the day, I cant quite believe Jo managed that in her dress, brilliant!  And then after mingling with the guests for a while, it was more exercise, rowing around the lake in a boat, decorated with flowers of course.   After all that I bet they were hungry, I know I was, so we sat down for roast lamb, the very tasty meal was made by Anne Curtis Catering, it was lovely, thanks.  The speeches were really funny, even Jo did one and ‘stole all Roger’s material’ before his turn.  Then after a few drinks and some cake, Jo and Roger had their first dance as Mr and Mrs, then the party got started and my job was done, phew, what a long day!  It was brilliant though, I really enjoyed it, thanks to Jo and Roger for letting me be part of it, all the best guys!   To see the pictures in the gallery instead click here.
